Copywriter
Job description:
The Influence Agency is a digital marketing company based out of Toronto, Canada. We work with talented individuals from all around the world and are looking for a capable and well-versed Copywriter to assist on copywriting projects. In this role, you will write copy for inner page site content, press releases, online infographics and more to allow more traffic to our clients’ webpages and increase brand awareness.
Responsibilities:
- Write engaging and creative copy with a distinct voice that matches the brand
- Ability to write clear and concise copy that drives conversions
- Conduct high-quality research
- Edit and proofread copy
- Work on editorial pieces for clients.
- Utilize on-page SEO techniques to maximize reach
- Communicate effectively and in a timely manner through email with leadership (on a time difference)
Requirements:
- Portfolio of past work
- High-level research skills
- Takes a creative and intuitive approach to crafting messaging that drives clicks
- Excellent writing and editing skills in both Canadian and American English
- A deep understanding of on-page search engine optimization (SEO) techniques and strategies
- Ability to meet tight deadlines
Nice to Have:
- Experience working in Google Docs and G-Suite
- Familiarity with Ahrefs, Surfer and GDoc SEO Assistant
- Familiarity with project management tools, such as Asana
Education: Bachelor's (Preferred)
Experience: Professional copywriting: 3 years (Preferred)
Language: English (Required)
