Application Support Engineer [Belgium]


 

Function

Our client is seeking an Application Support Engineer to join their team. The Application Support team is a second line support team, which deals with functional and technical issues related to applications used to sustain our client's logistics. Interruptions with these applications can cause delays on movement operations, potentially impacting our client's operations. Therefore, the majority of these applications are highly business and mission critical.

What you will do in this position:

  • Support on incidents, problem and change management
  • User assistance for application functionality issues and knowledge
  • Application technical error analyses and reporting
  • EIM (Emergency Incident Management): Standby services to coordinate critical situations with applications
  • Monitoring of application availability and messaging interface interruption
  • Application configuration requests
  • Application user account management
  • Application and messaging testing verifications
  • Keep all required documents up-to-date
  • Participating in on-call schedule ( standby compensation given )

Your skills

  • Experience as a Service Desk Agent is an advantage
  • Basic knowledge of IT applications
  • Can-do mentality
  • Analytical thinking
  • Working independently and stress consistent
  • Customer-centric
  • Accurate, quick decision-maker, and attention to detail
  • Organizational awareness
  • Languages: English & Dutch (verbal and written)

Working from home possibilities (50% per week after the first months of training)
