Sous Chef [Indonesia]


 

A hospitality group in Nusa Lembongan, Bali is looking for a talented and enthusiastic Sous Chef (Full-time)

Responsibilities:

  • Manage all activities in the kitchen including food preparation and production as well as manage and train the kitchen staff
  • Monitor holding and storage operations, stocking and food rotation as well as guarantee food service sanitation standards are met
  • Develop new menu, create new dishes and bring new ideas to the table
  • Lead and supervise kitchen staff activities
  • Ensure that the kitchen operates in a timely way that meets quality standards
  • Resolve customers problems and concerns personally
  • Create schedules for kitchen employees and evaluate their performance
  • Assure adherence to all standards of food quality, preparation, recipes, food products, plating and presentation in conjunction with the specifications
  • Take and place the orders if needed
  • Produce high-quality plates both design and taste wise
  • Ensure the team maintains the cleaning program
  • Manage food costs and inventory

Requirements:

  • Indonesian citizen
  • Fluent in written and verbal English communication
  • Proven work experience as a Sous Chef or in a similar role
  • Understanding of various cooking methods, ingredients, equipments and procedures
  • High-quality standards in all matters of food production
  • Excellent record of kitchen and staff management
  • Proven kitchen organization and time management skills
  • Good work ethic, teamwork attitude and communication skills
  • Adaptability, energetic and thrive under pressure
  • Confident, consistent and resilient
  • Teamwork-oriented with good leadership abilities
  • Work in fast-paced environment
  • Ability to come up with new menu and creative on plating
  • Able to lead a team
  • Knowledge of food costings and inventory

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: Rp7,000,000 - Rp8,000,000 per month
