A hospitality group in Nusa Lembongan, Bali is looking for a talented and enthusiastic Sous Chef (Full-time)
Responsibilities:
- Manage all activities in the kitchen including food preparation and production as well as manage and train the kitchen staff
- Monitor holding and storage operations, stocking and food rotation as well as guarantee food service sanitation standards are met
- Develop new menu, create new dishes and bring new ideas to the table
- Lead and supervise kitchen staff activities
- Ensure that the kitchen operates in a timely way that meets quality standards
- Resolve customers problems and concerns personally
- Create schedules for kitchen employees and evaluate their performance
- Assure adherence to all standards of food quality, preparation, recipes, food products, plating and presentation in conjunction with the specifications
- Take and place the orders if needed
- Produce high-quality plates both design and taste wise
- Ensure the team maintains the cleaning program
- Manage food costs and inventory
Requirements:
- Indonesian citizen
- Fluent in written and verbal English communication
- Proven work experience as a Sous Chef or in a similar role
- Understanding of various cooking methods, ingredients, equipments and procedures
- High-quality standards in all matters of food production
- Excellent record of kitchen and staff management
- Proven kitchen organization and time management skills
- Good work ethic, teamwork attitude and communication skills
- Adaptability, energetic and thrive under pressure
- Confident, consistent and resilient
- Teamwork-oriented with good leadership abilities
- Work in fast-paced environment
- Ability to come up with new menu and creative on plating
- Able to lead a team
- Knowledge of food costings and inventory
Job Type: Full-time
Salary: Rp7,000,000 - Rp8,000,000 per month
