Gateway College is urgently looking for one (1) Instructor - IT Web Development who has the business expertise and extensive experience on the following subjects:
1) Web Development I
2) Design Fundamentals
3) Web Development II
4) Web Database Technologies
5) Server Side Web Scripting with PHP
QUALIFICATIONS:
1) Relevant industry experience in the last two years
2) Degree/Diploma in Business or other relevant disciplines OR relevant industry experience for a minimum of ten years
3) Effective written and verbal communication skills
4) Principles of adult learning
5) Microsoft 365, LMS, CRM, and learning platforms for online teaching
REQUIRED ADDITIONAL SKILLS

· Ability to communicate fluently and accurately in both written and oral English

· Shows deep level of flexibility and sensitivity to and understanding of the needs of adult immigrant learners and international students of different backgrounds
JOB DESCRIPTIONS:
1) Delivers Business lessons to non-native speakers (international students, adult immigrants, and newcomer refugees) in order to facilitate their social, cultural, and economic integration into the Canadian society.
2) Develops curriculum and prepares teaching materials and outlines for courses including audio visual and web-related materials where appropriate.
3) Collaborates with students, program coordinator, and industry experts to improve and update curriculum and standards
4) Prepares, administers, and marks papers, tests, exams and other verbal assessments to monitor and evaluate students’ progress and provide detailed feedback on student performance.
5) Conducts on-going and monthly assessment with students to update individual portfolio-based progress reports
6) Maintains up-to-date, accurate, and detailed class records for audit purposes and submits required monthly reporting documents in a timely manner.
