New Generations Foundation Center is looking for 5 positions as volunteer Trainees (MFT or PCC Trainees) with its non-profit organization. New Generations Foundation Center was created by licensed therapists (LMFT's) and first responders to meet the needs of young adults and first responders in training.
Trainees would be tasked with seeing clients by tele-health. Clinical supervision (no cost) will be provided in individual and group settings; all BBS regulations are followed to allow the trainee the opportunity to meet their graduation AND BBS requirements.
New Generations Foundation Center will provide flexible scheduling for the intern, opportunities to provide therapy services, and a unique and dynamic internship. As long as you are seeing your clients and doing your documentation, you can create your own schedule.
Duties: The student trainee will be a Master’s Degree student who is currently working on meeting the requirements of being registered with the Board of Behavioral Sciences. The trainee will provide therapy services to the general public.
Trainee will receive required clinical supervision by an eligible clinical supervisor. Additionally, trainee will prepare intake summaries, treatment plans, and progress notes and maintain ongoing confidential records.
Trainee will learn the in and outs of how to be a therapist in training while also learning about private practice for the future.
