Job Summary
Sales Specialist supports the Sales Manager and the Manager, Local Business Line in day-to-day business with the aim to be developed into the role of a Sales Manager
General Responsibilities
  • Support the (Senior) Sales Manager and Manager, Local Business Line in managing day-to-day business
  • Visit customers together with Sales Manager to learn how to build a customer relationship and how to negotiate sales agreements
  • Prepare forecasts, market reports as well as regular competitor and market surveys
  • Provide administrative support to the sales team (e.g. preparing presentations)
  • Responsible for own projects (organize a customer event, sales of new products, work on improvements within the area of responsibility)
  • Support Specialist, Sales Support activities (e.g. order taking and submission, shipment and tracking)
  • Optional: Profit and loss responsibility for the assigned area of responsibility (products or territory mostly for C and D customers) including budget and result accountability
  • Respond to customer and supplier queries in English and the local language
  • Calculation and submitting offers to customers
  • Collecting and managing of product information
  • Dispatch of marketing material and product information
  • Planning exhibitions and represent DKSH at exhibitions
  • Follow up on customer issues
  • Communication with the European logistics
  • Maintain customer data and record sales data in Salesforce.com
Functional Skills and Knowledge
  • Motivated to learn about the industry and the products
  • Good knowledge of office tools (Excel, Word and PowerPoint)
  • Fluent in the local language and English
Education
Professional qualification in commercial/trading
Work Experience
First experience in sales, procurement, import/export, trading (1-2 years)
