We are expanding our BMW portfolio in New Zealand, adding a state of the art motorcycle dealership to our flagship dealership located in Wairau Valley. Our dealerships operate as part of the Sime Darby Motors Group which is one of the largest BMW retailers in the world and as such has made a significant investment in New Zealand to ensure customers are given a world-class experience beyond any other.
With the continuous growth of our Retail businesses, our Motorrad dealership is now looking for an experienced Marketing Executive. This dealership will be one of the newest and biggest BMW Motorrad dealerships in New Zealand presenting world-class state-of-the-art facility with activities spanning over four levels of dedicated bespoke areas for M-cars, electric iBrand as well as an extensive range of New and Used vehicles for sale, and soon to be Motorrad.
Reporting to the Retail Marketing Manager, and with the support of the broader marketing team, you will be responsible for coordinating marketing campaigns and customer events, sponsorship activity, assisting with product launches, and developing internal and external communications across digital and traditional channels for Motorrad Distribution and Continental Motorrad.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Assist with the preparation & implementation of annual Marketing, Media (including digital) and Advertising plan.
- Maintenance of allocated business unit websites (in conjunction with external marketing agency), ensuring all content is accurate and current.
- Assist with all Marketing, Advertising & Public Relations co-ordination (in conjunction with external marketing agencies when used) for allocated business units.
- Assist with assessing innovative ways to market services and products to existing and new customers for allocated business units.
- Monitor the advertising budget and ensure events/promotions/activities are within allocated budgets.
- Liaise with external suppliers e.g., advertising agencies, graphic designers, digital agencies, media agencies, publications, media organisations, etc.
- Work with Group Digital Marketing team to maximise digital marketing opportunities.
We are looking for someone with:
- A proven understanding of marketing philosophies & practice.
- 3-5 years' past marketing experience in a relevant position.
- A recognised tertiary qualification in Marketing.
- Be comfortable in both the B2B and B2C areas of marketing.
- Experience & understanding of digital marketing techniques & social media opportunities.
- Excellent communication skills both verbal and written.
- Appreciation of commercial actions/marketing initiatives.
- Strong relationship builder and excellent interpersonal skills. The ability to relate to a variety of people at all levels and establish effective business networks.
- Ability to organise work, deal with competing demands and to plan effectively.
- Sound administration, organisational and time management skills.
- Competence in the Microsoft Office Suite.
- Passionate about motorcycles and a relevant licence will be considered a bonus.
