Base salary ranges between $61,464 and $64,613 p.a. (CA3).
The role
Support pharmacists at the Mount Isa Hospital and other affiliated units located within the North West Hospital and Health Service and undertake duties to relieve pharmacists of technical and non-professional tasks, ensuring pharmacy services of the highest standard are provided in the most cost-efficient manner.
Mandatory requirements are:
- Certificate III as a Dispensary Assistant (Community or Hospital)
- Certificate of Competency in 'Maintain Pharmaceutical Imprest Stock', as part of a Certificate III in Hospital Pharmacy is a legal requirement for undertaking Controlled Drug imprest duties.
- Applicants who do not have a certificate of competency in this module are expected to complete it within 3 months of commencement. The NWHHS may finance this module for the successful applicant. Probation will not be confirmed unless this has been completed.
- Some of the roles have significant manual handling requirements.
- Pre-employment screening, including criminal history checks and Vaccine Preventable Diseases (VPD) risk role compliance, will be conducted for the successful candidate.
