About the role
We are looking for a highly motivated Mechanical Maintenance Technician/Postal Technical Officer for our busy Brisbane QLD distribution centre.
This job reports directly to the Facility Technical Manager to perform a range of leadership and supervisory functions, conducting maintenance activities associated with the Mail Processing Equipment to ensure the mail services and production standards are achieved.
The position is Monday to Friday daytime only. Times are negotiable for the right person.
To do that, you will:
- Ensure safety is foremost in all activities ensuring compliance with Australia Post OHS Policies
- Perform maintenance activities including corrective, predictive, and preventative maintenance
- Act as a key contact with Operational Managers on maintenance and technical issues
- Ensure all maintenance transactions are accurately recorded using SAP
- Optimise team skill sets; train, coach and knowledge transfer discussions
- Work as part of a team to achieve high levels of reliability, performance and cost effectiveness
- Prepare technical reports for optimising service and share outcomes with the Team
- Be able to work at heights from mobile platforms
What we are looking for:
- Experience in the diagnosis, repair, and monitoring of automated and conveyer systems
- Team Leadership capability with ability to liaise effectively with operations and other stakeholders
- A high level of ability in utilising SAP as an information tool
- Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing
- A minimum of 5 years of technical maintenance experience
- A relevant Electrical Workers License
- Proficiency with plant maintenance and materials modules of SAP
The minimum qualification requirements are:
- A Class electrical license required
- Mechanical Trade Certificate III or higher
And we’d be very impressed if you have:
- A Certificate IV in Electro Technology (Systems Electrician) or equivalent
- Certificate IV in Business (Frontline Management)
- Certificate IV in Engineering or equivalent
- Experience in IT, Data communications (highly desirable)
- A High-Risk Licence in Elevated Work Platforms
