About the Organisation:
The New Zealand Intelligence Community (NZIC) is looking for an experienced Linux System Engineer with the necessary 'tight-lipped' skills to get amongst enhancing Aotearoa's national security.

This role sits within the Tech Directorate who are responsible for ensuring high quality technology outcomes for the community.

About You:
Do you really know your stuff? How about if you have no access to external information and you need to make a critical call? You don't need to be there yet, but if you desire to be that good, this role will provide you with the experience and support to get there.
You will:
Have solid experience in Linux system administration and design
Have experience with CentOS, RHEL or Ubuntu
Have Automation experience with Ansible, Puppet or equivalent
Have Experience with Foreman/FreeIPA
Be a qualified system engineering professional with significant relevant experience in the IT or Telco industry
Have computer scripting skills e.g. Bash, Python, PowerShell scripting languages (desirable)
Have an understanding of service management frameworks, such as ITIL (desirable)
Have experience in the lifecycle management of security and system environments, including design, deployment, implementation, and operational support

To be eligible for employment within the NZIC you must have been a NZ citizen for at least 10 years. Alternatively, you must hold a current NZ Residency Class Visa and ideally have been a citizen of UK, USA, Canada or Australia for at least 10 years.
You must be able to obtain and maintain a Top Secret Special (TSS) security clearance. Ordinarily to obtain this level of clearance candidates must have a 15 year checkable background in countries where meaningful and reliable checks can be undertaken. Where requisite checks are unable to be made, the candidate application may not be able to be progressed.
