We are seeking a skilled Staff Frontend developer to join our growing team! The platform you will be working on is used daily by tens of thousands of customer support agents, including internal teams at Zendesk! As the staff engineer on the team, you will take on a leadership role working closely with the design team, back end developers, and product managers to ensure that projects are delivered on time with high quality. You’ll keep an eye out for user issues, accessibility concerns, and security vulnerabilities all while building exciting new features. You’ll have a good understanding of team dynamics and help build ownership, trust, and psychological safety on this growing team.
Develop user-friendly, accessible front-end applications
Collaborate with designers as well as with back-end developers to implement designs and features
Produce highly performant and flexible user interfaces
Conduct code reviews and ensure code quality standards are met
Troubleshoot and debug issues as they arise
Communicate effectively stakeholders
Collaborate with designers and UI engineers across the company to learn from others and to ensure you stay up to date on the company’s UI best practices.
At least 8 years of experience in front-end development
Excellent communication and collaboration skills
Strong technical leadership skills
Experience with front-end frameworks such as React, Ember, and AngularJS
Familiarity with Git and Agile methodologies
Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously
